One of Stirixi’s most emblematic initiatives was the creation and adoption of the Social Book & Toy Store at the Municipality of Athens’ Solidarity Hub.
Our team undertook the project from start to finish, from redesigning and furnishing the space to ensuring its regular supply with books, stationery, and toys.
The goal was to create a welcoming, functional space that meets the needs of children and families struggling to afford basic educational and creative materials.
The Book & Toy Store is not just a distribution point , it is a place that promotes equal access to learning and play. Through this initiative, children can continue their education with the materials they need and enjoy moments of joy through play.
For Stirixi, this action embodies our philosophy of social contribution: systematic, collective, and focused on creating tangible impact in everyday life.
For eight consecutive years, Stirixi has organized an annual cultural program for the children of Ark of the World.
Through this program, children participate in cultural visits and events that bring them closer to art, culture, and recreation.
Stirixi covers all expenses , including meals , ensuring that each experience is complete and thoughtfully designed.
This initiative aims not only to bring joy but also to build confidence, inspire curiosity, and create lasting memories for every child.
It reflects our belief that social care goes beyond basic needs , it includes access to culture, creativity, and joy.
Stirixi organizes monthly entertainment evenings at the Athens Nursing Home, offering residents moments of joy and companionship.
Each evening has its own theme , music, dance, or cinema , always accompanied by a shared dinner that brings everyone together.
These gatherings are more than entertainment; they are moments of connection and dignity, breaking routine and bringing smiles.
For Stirixi, they represent a heartfelt gesture of respect and love for older generations, who deserve care, communication, and happiness.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, Stirixi funded and implemented a series of improvements at the Special School of Pangrati, which serves children with cerebral palsy and neurological conditions.
Our contribution included:
Construction of a new sensory integration room equipped with a ball pool, slide, and swing-platform
Installation of the Woodway walking system, a valuable physiotherapy tool
Renovation of school bathrooms to create a safer and more accessible environment
These upgrades significantly improve the daily life of students, educators, and families, demonstrating how solidarity can translate into real, measurable change.
Special School of Pangrati
Stirixi had the privilege of supporting the Pinelopeio Foundation, contributing practical improvements that enhanced living conditions for children and working conditions for staff.
Our interventions included:
Replacement of an old refrigerator with a modern, efficient model
Construction of new kitchen cabinets for a clean and functional space
Installation of new windows for healthier indoor conditions
Renovation of bathrooms to ensure safety and dignity
Supply of baby changing tables for the youngest residents
Through these actions, Stirixi reaffirmed its mission to stand tangibly and effectively beside institutions doing vital social work , providing practical solutions that make a difference in daily life.
At the Agios Alexandros Home, Stirixi undertook a major support project to restore basic hygiene and living conditions.
Until recently, the girls living there had no access to hot water and were forced to bathe in cold water; even the drinking water was unsafe due to rusted pipes.
Our intervention included:
Complete renovation of the plumbing network
Installation of new pipes, boilers, and solar water heaters
Comprehensive maintenance of the water system to ensure long-term safety and functionality
This project transformed daily life for the residents , providing clean, hot water and, more importantly, a renewed sense of comfort, dignity, and care.
